How To Root Samsung Galaxy S II Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread XWKDD Firmware
Steps for How To Root Your Samsung Galaxy S II Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread XWKDD Firmware:
- First you must to download into your computer and then you must to extract it, the following application: ODIN Flashing Tool. You can download it from here.
- Next, you must to download into your computer the following application: XWKDD Tar. You can download it from here.
- Also, you must to download into your computer the following application: SuperOneClick. You can download it from here.
- Now, you must to put your Samsung Galaxy in Download Mode. To put your phone in Download Mode, you must to press the Power button + Home button + Volume down button for few seconds.
- Next, you must to open the ODIN application(Odin3 v1.85.exe).
- Now, you simply connect your Samsung Galaxy S II to your computer, using the USB cable.
- Next, you must see one of the box in ODIN interface turning yellow color.
- Now, you must to press the PDA button, then you must to browse and then you must to select XWKDD_insecure.tar file.
- You must verify if the Auto-rebot and th F.Reset Time options are checked in ODIN.
- Now, you must to simply press the Start button and you must to wait until the process is complete(when the process is complete, your Samsung Galaxy S II will automatically restart).
- After the restart, you must to disconnect the USB connection.
- Next, you must to go to Applications > Settings > Applications > Development > chec the UBS debugging box. This process will put your Samsung Galaxy S II in USB Debugging Mode.
- Now, you must to connect again your Samsung Galaxy S Ii to your computer, using USB cable.
- As Administrator, you must to press right click and run the SuperOneClickvx.x.x-ShortFuse application.
- And finally you must to press the Root button and then you must wait until the process is complete.
