How to update your Samsung Galaxy Tab to Android 3.1 Honeycomb
Step 1: Download Android 3.1 Honeycomb from the official android website and put it on your desktop.
Step 2. Rename the file to update.zip.
Step 3. Copy of the update.zip to the root of SD Card.
Step 4. Enter recovery mode.
Step 5. Select Recovery option.
Step 6. Your Samsung Galaxy Tab will reboot and press the volume up and power button at the same time.
Step 7. Finally select "Apply sdcard:update.zip" with the trackball.
Step 8: You should have installed the Android 3.1 Honeycomb firmware.
NOTE: The honeycomb 3.1 has not officially support the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, update to Honeycomb 3.1 will lead to some features lost.

ReplyDeleteAre you saying that you can update a 2.2 to 3.1? I don't think this is possible without losing a lot of functions. Please tell me I am wrong.
