How To Root Samsung Galaxy S II Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread XWKDD Firmware

 

Steps for How To Root Your Samsung Galaxy S II  Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread XWKDD Firmware:

  1. First you must to download into your computer and then you must to extract it, the following application: ODIN Flashing Tool. You can download it from here.
  2. Next, you must to download into your computer the following application: XWKDD Tar. You can download it from here.
  3. Also, you must to download into your computer the following application: SuperOneClick. You can download it from here.
  4. Now, you must to put your Samsung Galaxy in Download Mode. To put your phone in Download Mode, you must to press the Power button + Home button + Volume down button for few seconds.
  5. Next, you must to open the ODIN application(Odin3 v1.85.exe).
  6. Now, you simply connect your Samsung Galaxy S II to your computer, using the USB cable.
  7. Next, you must see one of the box in ODIN interface turning yellow color.
  8. Now, you must to press the PDA button, then you must to browse and then you must to select XWKDD_insecure.tar file.
  9. You must verify if the Auto-rebot and th F.Reset Time options are checked in ODIN.
  10. Now, you must to simply press the Start button and you must to wait until the process is complete(when the process is complete, your Samsung Galaxy S II will automatically restart).
  11. After the restart, you must to disconnect the USB connection.
  12. Next, you must to go to Applications > Settings > Applications > Development > chec the UBS debugging box. This process will put your Samsung Galaxy S II in USB Debugging Mode.
  13. Now, you must to connect again your Samsung Galaxy S Ii to your computer, using USB cable.
  14. As Administrator, you must to press right click and run the SuperOneClickvx.x.x-ShortFuse application.
  15. And finally you must to press the Root button and then you must wait until the process is complete.
